Choices
“We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.”
Kahlil Gibran
Create a life of being and not doing, as humans are human beings and not human doings.
You must constantly ask yourself these questions:
Who am I around? What are they doing to me?
What have they got me reading?
What have they got me saying?
Where do they have me going?
What do they have me thinking?
And most important, what do they have me becoming?
Then ask yourself the big question: Is that okay?

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your heart.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.
Carl Jung
Finally on my way to yes
I bump into
all the places
where I said no
to my life
all the untended wounds
the red and purple scars
those hieroglyphs of pain
carved into my skin,
my bones,
those coded messages
that send me down
the wrong street
again and again
where I find them
the old wounds
the old misdirections
and I lift them
one by one
close to my heart
and I say
holy holy holy

The fruit of Silence is prayer.
The fruit of Prayer is faith.
The fruit of Faith is love.
The fruit of Love is service.
The fruit of Service is peace.
